Plug-In 4 REHAB powered by PechaKucha | M^C^O | 12.04.19
“Plug-In 4 REHAB” seeks solutions for renovating abandoned or obsolete structures. It also hopes to serve alternative social solutions based on the share economy, such as co-housing and co-working. The underlying reason for Plug-in for Rehab is to promote a more environmentally responsible mode of intervention, using biodegradable materials for new additions while preventing the waste of demolitions and the use of dubious construction materials.
Plug-in proposed architecture for modern nomads.
-
Plug-in assumed futurist buildings prepared as technologically equipped scaffolds into which prefabricated units for dwelling or working could be inserted or extracted at will.
-
Plug-in predicated a future of joyful uprootedness.
-
Rather than destroying and rebuilding the whole world, the new plug-in approach aspires to adapting to existing buildings and landscape.
-
For the PechaKucha event we are looking presentations that illustrate how plug-in solutions can be applied to existing structures or contexts.
"Powered by PechaKucha" events are one-off events that are separate from regular city-based PechaKucha Nights, and that are usually held as part of festivals and conferences, but can also act as standalone events. These events include presentations that use the PechaKucha 20 images x 20 seconds format."
