"AGRIshelter III" | Terra Viva Workshops n° 2-3 | CasciNet | November 2017
AGRIshelter is a prototype project for cheap and biodegrable refugee housing by the Iranian architect Narges Mofarahian. It was one of the five winners selected in the international competition "What Design Can Do", devoted to the question of refugees and co-sponsored by IKEA and UNHRC. The project has been part of her Master Thesis on the recent refugee emergency, developed under the supervision of professor Richard Ingersoll at Politecnico di Milano.
During the two "AGRIshelter" Self-constrction Workshops proposed by Terra Viva (16-19 Nov. and 23-26 Nov.), a 1:1 scale prototype will be built by the students themselves.
