"Weak City. The Land Belongs to Those Who Think it" | 8° Terra Viva Workshop | Territory M
Based on the Radical Ecology in relation with Harvard researches on Ecological Urbanism (P. Belanger, C. Reed), the 8º Terra Viva Workshop focuses on the development of urban form as derived by ecology and environmental dynamics. This edition introduces students to methods and representational techniques for describing ecological form and the underlying ecologies that might be invoked to shape the urban territories.
Representational strategies begin with diagramming larger processes and dynamics of Milano, and then focus on their representation in abstract ways. The final products are models representing the selected ecological system. The objective is to characterize an infinitive ecology for the city.
